About Christianity and Technology

In Christian culture at present it seems we are facing a series of important disconnects.

  1. The first is between the 'attitudes' of apathy or antipathy towards technology but its use anyway;
  2. Second is the romanticism for previous 'non-technological' pasts that never were. Being frightened of the modern world we have failed to grasp our image bearing creativeness and we are failing our societies in not envisioning a transformational role for ourselves.
  3. We have failed largely to think through a Christian theology of technology.
